| Lewis Wilkinson is a graduate of the University of Virginia. After a successful career as a marketing executive he is currently concentrating on photography and multi media projects. Shooting for a variety of clients’ Lewis utilizes his communications background to produce portraits and documentary imagery. He specializes in shooting imagery that narrates the story and personality behind a company, hospital or school. His images and videos have been used in annual reports and websites. For non-for profits he also produces limited edition photo books and magazines. The sales from these projects support a range of endeavors from dance companies to the homeless. He has exhibited his images at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and nationally. A recent book, Born to Dance, is a celebration of the artistic accomplishments of the Amaranth Contemporary Dance Company is a poetic look inside a dancer’s heart and soul. It is a gift to Amaranth’s dancers so they might share with their families and friends their passion and love of dance. Finally, it is a vehicle for Amaranth to use to raise money from friends and contributors. The personal satisfaction of recent assignments for not-for-profit organizations has recently shifted Lewis’ focus toward assignments that make a difference.
